Were the Beatles selfish?

During a 1964 concert, the Beatles were playing a song called Long Tall Sally. During the song, a man ran up on stage, and shook Lennon's hand. You can actually hear Lennon's Rickenbacker stop playing when Lennon shakes the man's hand, chuckles, and asks "How are ya, cobber?"

The police then ambushed the stage and escorted the man off the stage. After the end of the song, Paul orders the police to let the young man go, who was pinned to the wall by them. Needless to say, the police let him go.

During a 1964 interview, the Beatles were asked "How do you deal with all the screaming? Do you even want to talk to your fans?" Ringo says yes. John then says "Of course. But we can't talk with thousands of people at the same time, at the same place."

In 1964, the Beatles visited Ringo in the hospital. While they were at the hospital, they thought stopping by to see the children be a good idea. The Beatles (without Ringo) visited a sick little girl and cheered her up.

The Beatles received thousands of letters every week. They responded to every letter they got.

On December 8th, 1980, John Lennon signed an album for his assassin. Later that day, he was shot 4 times.

So you tell me what you think. Do you think the Beatles were selfish? I don't think so.
