Prince Philip hasn’t been in the same room as Sarah since the newspapers landed on his breakfast tray showing her toe-sucking episode with John Bryant, that was a hell of a long time ago.
When Eugenie announced her marriage to Jack Brooksbank many speculated wether or not Philip would attend as it meant coming face to face once again with Sarah. This man has a deep love for his grandchildren and was not about to miss her wedding day.
The last thing he wanted to do was ‘spend time in the company of that blasted woman’ but he did, and as a nation we loved him all the more for it.
Prince Philip is a much loved member of the royal family, despite his bad temper, quick wit and wholly innappropriate remarks about foreign dignataries etc we love him. He is the nation’s Alf Garnett type grandfather and when he finally leaves this world he will be missed. His swearing is legendary.
Small edit: It was reported that Prince Phillip attended Princess Beatrice’s wedding this morning (17/07/20) so he would’ve spent time in the company of Sarah, Duchess of York, i’m sure it was a lovely day for the close friends and family in attendance.
